Diocesan Bell Fund Raising - 2000

Fifteen grants were paid during 2000 totalling some £40,550.

Grants were provisionally allocated as indicated below :

• Brightwell Baldwin - £2,900
• Brightwalton - £750
• Chilton - £4,750
• Farnham Royal - £1,300
• Great Milton - £4,000
• Iffley - £580
• Leckhampstead - £580
• Stewkley - £4,500
• Weston Turville - £325

Fund raising

New money raised in 2000 amounted to £20,323, including a donation of £10,000 from the estate of the late Henry Lawrenson, £1,411 from the Guild Draw, £4,225 from branch donations and £595 from the Ringing Day. Donations from 18 PCCs amounted to £487 and 12 tower funds contributed £754. Covenanted donations from individuals totalled £377.

Investments

Investment income during the year and available for distribution as grants was £16,208. The total capital subscribed to the Fund at the end of the year was £196,405. This is invested in accordance with professional advice from the Diocese.
