About the BranchSonning Deanery Branch serves the bellringers of 17 churches with bells hung for full-circle English-style ringing in southeast Berkshire, roughly covering the Church of England Deaneries of Sonning and Bracknell (see map ). The Branch offers its members a comprehensive range of services . It is one of 15 branches in the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers (ODG), which is the largest territorial ringing society in the world, with around 2500 members. ODG represents bell ringers in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, which together comprise the Diocese of Oxford. It is affiliated to the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers . Rules of the ODG apply to Sonning Deanery Branch, supplemented by Sonning Deanery rules. For more information on Guild services, see the main ODG website. The Guild annual subscription rate is currently £6.00 for resident members, due in January. |
