    He died in 1976, consult the History pages of this CD for an obituary.

    His will set up two Trusts which were described in The Ringing World June 11, 2004 page 559. One of these, the Sharpe Collection Trust, manages the sale of the remaining stock of his books on Church bells.

    Before 1998 13 volumes had been published for Oxfordshire. The Oxfordshire Victoria County History Trust has been set up to complete volumes for Burford and West Oxfordshire parishes and another for the Henley area.
