A family peal "On Wednesday last was married at Long Crendon, Bucks, by the Rev. J. Kipling, Mr John Bruce to Maria Ann, daughter of Mr Robert Dodwell. After the ceremony a peal of Grandsire Triples of 5040 changes was rung (for the first time these 20 years) by the following youths, on that fine ring of bells, in 3 Hours and 1 minute: Messrs. Ephraim Shrimpton, Jonah Shrimpton, William Henry Shrimpton, John Mallam Shrimpton, Emmanuel Shrimpton, George Shrimpton, Robert Shrimpton, and William Shrimpton, who conducted the peal which was admirably performed."
